    Steve Hawkins

    With over thirty years experience in the field, Steve Hawkins understands all aspects of surveying.  He will oversee the project and provide strategic direction. Steve has an honest and pragmatic approach to managing projects to ensure they are successfully completed.  As a Licensed Surveyor and Partner in the firm, he has helped develop the service ethos of the organisation.

  • John Taylor - Licensed Surveyor, M.I.S.A., Principal

    Since graduating  in 1976, John Taylor has forged a reputation in the South West for excellence in surveying.  His professional advice has benefited many local, state and national organisations.  John is a well rounded surveyor and strategically plans the best approach for each individual project.  He is well versed with Town Planning and Engineering requirements and has a team capable of handling the largest of jobs.  As an empathetic project leader he is committed to ensuring excellent communication with his clients on the status of work during the course of the project.

  • Leon Kok - Licensed Surveyor, BSc Surveying, I.S.A, Principal

    Leon Kok

    As a Licensed Surveyor with twenty eight years surveying experience Leon joined Thompson Surveying Consultants in March 1999. Previous experience was gained in Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa and then in Albany WA. Since joining Thompson’s he has been involved in large scale subdivisions such as Dalyellup and College Grove as well as high profile developments such as Marlston Waterfront. Many smaller subdivisions have also been carried out. Major Main Road’s projects have also been part of his brief and these include the cadastral survey for the Perth-Bunbury freeway and the new Bunbury Port Access Road Project. Leon became a partner in the firm in 2007 and is now involved in project managing a wide range of jobs as well as ensuring the high standard of delivery expected from Thompson’s is maintained.

  • Stuart Rob - Bachelor of Surveying 1998 (HONS) LS, S.S.I., W.A.I.S, Principal

    Stuart's Surveying qualifications were achieved at Curtin University where he completed a Bachelor of Surveying degree in 1998 with Upper Second Class Honours and was awarded Dux as top of the Class.

    Stuart completed his Articles under the guidance of Partner, John Taylor at Thompsons and he became registered as a Licensed Surveyor in 2001. In 2003 a desire to travel saw Stuart relocate to Victoria where he was employed as a Licensed Surveyor in the Geelong area for 3 years.

    Upon his return to Western Australia Stuart was welcomed back into the fold at Thompsons and in 2007 became a Partner in the Company. Since this time he has had the opportunity to be involved in some of the South West's most exciting developments including the Perth-Bunbury Freeway, Treendale Estate, Millbridge Private Estate and Landcorp's Bunbury Waterfront development.

    Stuart relishes the variety in his role between the office and field and prides himself on providing customer service of the highest quality.

  • Paul Skippings - Accredited Engineering Surveyor, Principal

    Paul Skippings

    Paul has an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Surveying) and is a member of The Spatial Science Institute and has been employed with Thompson Surveying Consultants since December 1992.  His experience includes:

    • Main Roads detail surveys
    • Major and minor feature surveys
    • Volume surveys for Worsley Alumina, Cable Sands and Sotico (woodchips) control
    • As-built and construction surveys on the Worsley Alumina expansion
    • Pipeline construction survey for the Collie to Bunbury saline pipeline incorporating ocean outfall
    • Rail re-alignment surveys around the South West
    • Sewer infill projects at Bunbury, Albany and Bremer Bay
